Abstract Single crystalline tungsten samples were irradiated by He, D, and H at room temperature, with a calculated damage level in the peak maximum up to 0.04 dpa He 0.5 dpa. The dislocation structure of whole zone was investigated perpendicular surface Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) under four different two-beam diffraction conditions g = −200, 020, −110, 110 close [100] axis, taking bright-field kinematical images. depth observed TEM is good agreement SRIM. zones can be subdivided into subzones. Significant differences structures between ion species despite comparable levels found maximum. In this depth, consists small dense loops (⩽3 nm) high strain fields. Irradiation D creates large an average diameter 15–22 nm depending on set condition.
